PetroLube Services

PetroLube Services

Plant Assets that the PetroLube section provide services on, are grouped under the following equipment categories.

Automotive

Mobile equipment such as trucks, buses, light vehicles, earthmoving machines, and generators.

Industrial

Equipment such as industrial gearboxes, compressors, pumps, hydraulics, turbines, heat transfer fluids, bearing compartments, air conditioning, recirculation and refrigeration systems.

Total Fluid Handling

Complete Fuel and Lube Solutions.

Oil handling and treatment must be managed, and oil must be seen as an asset and not as a consumable.

  • Transfer Equipment
  • Electric Pumps
  • Hand Pumps
  • Pump Stations for Fuel Trailers

Condition Monitoring

Our Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Management solution aligns reliability with maintenance.

PetroLube Energy’s Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Management solution improves the lifespan of the equipment, and the maintenance done on it.

Our focus is preventing asset failures and downtime by monitoring asset health to determine what maintenance needs to be done and when, to improve long-term asset health.

In addition to the normal condition monitoring that includes oil, fuel, and coolant analyses, we provide additional non-destructive tests to form part of our condition based maintenance programme to improve plant reliability.

Additional tests;

  • Video Motion Amplification
  • Vibration analysis
  • Resonance Testing
  • Leak Detection
  • Thermography
  • Laser shaft alignment
  • In-situ balancing
  • Electrical monitoring
  • Condition based lubrication

Correct maintenance done at the right time.

Overall benefits of our Condition Monitoring and Plant Asset Reliability solution includes:

  • Increase uptime & asset life
  • Reduce downtime & maintenance costs
  • Reduce unplanned failures and collateral asset damages

Sampling and Analysis

All tests are done by an independent ISO accredited laboratory.

Sample Analysis

Tests done on the sample will determine the following:

  • Acid level
  • Additives
  • Wear metals
  • Contaminants, such as water, fuel, dirt & coolant
  • Viscosity, etc

Performing tests and analysing oil, fuel, and coolants sampled from mechanical equipment.  Other fluids and greases can also be sampled.

Taking a sample from equipment, and analysing, is the same as taking a blood sample from a person.

Fluids that are samples and tested are:

  • Fuel (petrol & diesel)
  • Coolant
  • Oil (lubricating, hydraulic & insulating)

Results from tests done on the sample, will determine the condition of the unit, and we recommend how to rectify any abnormal findings.

Fleet Monitoring

You are now able to see how your mobile assets are performing.

A fleet management solution that is low-cost, low-maintenance, and suitable for a wide range of vehicle types.

Vehicle type includes:

    • Heavy plant
    • Earthworks
    • Agricultural
    • Trucking and
    • Delivery vehicles

Collated data provides accurate fleet, grouped or individual vehicle reporting on cloud-based and off-line solutions.

Easy to read reports, including charts & maps.

Filtration

It is becoming more important to monitor and extend the lubricant life.

Oil Treatment

Controlling lubricant contamination can also extend the life of the equipment life as wear metals act as a catalyst for oxidation and lubricant degradation.

Filtration remove water and other contaminants.

Contamination such as water, dust, fuel, and excessive heat can result in the decline of the lubricant life.
